This paper identifies the need for a comprehensive digital forensic investigation process model and measures the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed refined cybercrime investigation process model. The proposed model is designed based on past models to cater traditional and digital forensic investigation. The model is useful especially for novice digital forensic practitioners and digital forensic service provider companies planning to formulate investigation policies as it draws out all possible steps in a cybercrime investigation. Yet, it does not serve as a basis but a guideline for digital forensic practitioners.
