Placing the Suspect Behind the Keyboard (PSBK)

Placing the Suspect Behind the Keyboard (PSBK) provides digital forensics training, books, and investigative resources focused on attribution, investigative reasoning, casework, and defensible conclusions. Its training emphasizes connecting digital evidence to people, devices, accounts, sessions, actions, locations, and timelines.

PSBK training includes the DF/IR Investigative Mindset program and scenario-based CASEWORK training, with an emphasis on evidence evaluation, competing explanations, attribution, investigative decision-making, timelines, reporting, and explaining what the evidence actually supports.

PSBK is a project of DFIR.training by Brett Shavers.
